Digital Product Profit Calculator

See exactly what you keep per sale after fees — and your true profit margin.

Digital products have near-zero cost to deliver, which is why they are the fastest path to online income. But payment fees, affiliate commissions, and tool costs quietly eat your margin. This calculator shows your real profit per sale so you can price with confidence.

Why margin matters

If you sell a $9 product and pay 40% to affiliates plus 3% in fees, you keep about $5.10. Knowing that number tells you how many sales you need to hit a goal. Run the math, then map it with the First $1,000 Calculator.

FAQ

How is profit margin calculated?

Profit per sale = price − (price × fee%) − cost per sale. Margin % = profit ÷ price × 100. This tool does it instantly as you type.

What fee % should I use for digital products?

Payment processors take roughly 3–5%. If you run an affiliate program, add the commission (e.g. 40%). For a $9 product with 40% affiliate + 3% fees, use about 43%.

Do digital products really have zero cost?

Almost. Once created, each copy costs nothing to deliver, so set cost per sale to 0 unless you pay per-delivery tools.
